In this issue of The Windsock, another member has bared his soul in ‘Meet Mike Sheehan’. Sorry Mike, I couldn’t resist the picture of you and Anita on your wedding day, but drew the line at the Police mess kit. I’ll see if we can make this a fairly regular feature.
Farmer John Elkington has produced another fine article on current crops and Andrew Cluskey has taken the cross-country series a step further with a description of his recent 500 km fight.
Richard Clegg has reported on the Inter Unis, dominated by Nottingham but won by Edinburgh. Still, 9 of our LSUGC members competed at Nympsfield.
I’ve broken cover and written about ATC gliding 60 years ago with Dave Unwin’s report on our 60th anniversary fight in the T31. This will appear in October’s PILOT magazine along with his ‘UFO’ sighting. The front page carries two Thank You messages from Milfeld and Marseilles, but the anticipated report on the Saltby Open never arrived. There’s a short report on the last page.
