BEWARE, OUR POSTCODE TAKES YOU TO A NEIGHBOURING FARM !
If you are driving here and navigating with a GPS, our postcode NG33 5FE will take you to the wrong place. Instead, follow the directions until it leaves the lane between Skillington to Sproxton using the track signposted for the club. Don’t take the un-sign posted track, it goes to Hazard Farm and you’ll have to turn back.
Finding Saltby airfield
Saltby is a rural airfield reached along country lanes. Its worth checking the map before setting out to avoid going the long way around. The entrance to the airfield is on the lane between Skillington and Sproxton, leave the main road (A) and follow the farm track for about a mile to reach the Club House (B). Please keep your speed down below 20mph while on site.
If you are new to the airfield, please ask at the Club House for advice about getting to the launch point. When you reach the runway, take great care to look for aircraft taking off and landing, turn off the radio, open the window and look up all over ! Fast moving cables are hard to see and potentially very hazardous, but are usually laid out on the grass, so avoid driving on the grass.
GPS and OS Coordinates
