The Club offers training to NPPL standard to both glider pilots and ab-initio students. The full NPPL course requires a minimum of 32 hours flying training plus a general skills and navigation tests.
Experienced glider pilots may qualify for a reduced hours requirement. Applicants for an NPPL are also required to pass the CAA written technical exams (which can be taken at Saltby by arrangement).
Half hour and One hour trial lessons are available by arrangement. These make great gifts and will count towards the hours requirement for anyone wanting to continue with training for the NPPL.
